Moreton Island is a 38 km long subtropical wedge of pure silica situated 2 hours boat journey north east of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
You will also discover a 6,000 year old Aboriginal archeological site, see the world's highest coastal sand dune and stand on the spot where the white settlers were first shipwrecked almost 200 years ago.
Moreton Island has no sealed roads at all. Consequently 4WD vehicle is the only mode of transport, resulting in an exciting and intimate view of the island wilderness.
Your safari will be guided by our professional and friendly crew. Our seasoned staff particularly enjoy creating and serving you restaurant standard prepared from our unique mobile kitchen.
Your secluded campsite has facilities of a high quality and is adjacent to the western beach considered an excellent, safe swimming location.

Includes: Sand-tobogganing at 65 km/hr down the world’s highest dunes, swimming in Blue Lagoon, 4WD tours, transport, National Park fees, central city pickup and dropoff, comfortable camping accommodation, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, all meals & campfire. Returns 6pm Thursday/ 7pm Sunday.
Excludes: $40 return ferry fare (cash on day).
Optional: $20 guided snorkeling amongst sub-tropical fish & shipwrecks (cash on day).

Itinerary
Soon after pickup at 7:15 am on Day 1 you board the luxury vessel MICat which will take you
across the beautiful Moreton Bay Marine Park to the western beach of Moreton Island in just over an hour.
After settling into your comfortable tents and having a BBQ lunch you snorkel amongst tropical fish and sunken
wrecks than you take a 4WD tour to the Desert and sand toboggan at 65 km/hr down some of the world’s highest dunes.
Sunset will be on the beach followed by a great dinner around the campfire.
On Day 2 we 4WD tour across to the
eastern side of Moreton Island where the waves are. After exploring Cape Moreton and its historic lighthouse
and maybe seeing pods of dolphins, manta rays and turtles, we head for North Point for a surf on boogie boards.
Here you can also stroll to sublime Honeymoon Bay or take a dip in the frothing Champagne Pool. Lunch is a buffet
picnic and then it’s a swim in freshwater Blue Lagoon before returning to base camp.
Returning on the MICat you will be back in Brisbane about 6:45 pm.
